Hootie and the Blowfish will release their sixth studio album, Looking for Lucky, on August 9th. The forthcoming follow-up to 2003's self-titled release is the band's first for Vanguard Records . . .

PEARL JAM guitarist MIKE McCREADY will headline a benefit concert on April 8th in Seattle for the Crohn's and Colitis Foundation. McCready, who suffers from Crohn's Disease, will perform with the U.F.O. tribute band FLIGHT TO MARS . . .

German electronica pioneers KRAFTWERK will play a string of U.S. dates, kicking off May 30th in Washington, D.C., and finishing up June 6th in Los Angeles . . .

WILCO, BRIGHT EYES, JACK JOHNSON, JOSS STONE, DAVE MATTHEWS and FRIENDS and TREY ANASTASIO will be featured on the premiere episode of the Bonnaroo Music and Arts Festival's Radio Bonnaroo, which is set to broadcast on radio stations in forty-three cities across the country . . .

COLDPLAY played more songs from their new album X&Y at a second secret gig in Europe last night. The band played an impromptu set at the Gloria club in Cologne (April 7) the second date on a secret tour . . .

PEARL JAM is progressing on its eighth studio album in Seattle. Guitarist Mike McCready tells Billboard.com the band has "about 20-25" songs in the hopper, comprising "some ballads and some pretty harder stuff, and some Who-ish type-stuff." Pearl Jam is hoping to release the set before the end of the year via J Records/BMG . . .
