News: Lollapalooza 2005

As reported by Rollingstones.com, Weezer, the Killers, Widespread Panic, the Pixies, Liz Phair and Dashboard Confessional are among the sixty artists who will perform on five stages at the 2005 edition of Lollapalooza. In contrast to the traveling festival launched in 1991 by then-Jane's Addiction frontman Perry Farrell, this year's Lollapalooza will be a stationary event, to be held in Chicago's Grant Park July 23rd and 24th. Other performers will include comeback artists like reunited indie rockers Dinosaur Jr., rocker Billy Idol and hip-hoppers Digable Planets, as well as up-and-comers from around the world, like Montreal's Arcade Fire, the U.K.'s Kasabian and Southern California's Louis XIV. Tickets are currently available at lollapalooza.com.
