Boris Laborde

Boris Laborde is a composer and a music enthusiast from Paris, France. He recorded a number of demo songs that can be previewed via his homepage. All the instruments and vocals were played and recorded by Boris himself. Listening to some of the songs one can notice a great potential that lays behind this artist. Even though Boris experiments with the music and uses occasionally some untypical beats and samples in the songs, his own-defined style is recognizable and is present in each song. In the music of Boris Laborde one can hear the elements of the traditional british pop mixed with the modern indie pop sounds, but I recommend you to listen to it and judge yourself.

Institute is Gavin Rossdale of Bush, rather than ex-helmet.

Actually, Institute is a common project from Gavin Rossdale (ex-Bush, vocals) and Chris Traynor (ex-Helmet, guitar) and their debut album, Distort Yourself, is produced by Helmet founder Page Hamilton. I guess I like more Helmet than Bush ;-)
