Poor Bailey

Poor Bailey are Scott Vicknair (Vocals, Guitar), John Snapp (Bass), Travis Harris (Guitar, Keys) and Danny Casentini (Drums).

In late 2002 Poor Bailey begins as a homemade solo project but quickly transforms into a four piece indie rock band and emerges onto the San Francisco music scene. In 2003 Poor Bailey is voted “Best Emerging Artist” at a California Music Awards showcase. In November 2004 the band releases a three song demo consisting of the two singles “Time Well Wasted” and “A Common Cold,” both of which receive consistent airplay on San Francisco based radio station, Live 105. In December “A Common Cold” earns Poor Bailey an opening slot at 2004’s “Not So Silent Night” - a Christmas showcase held at The Bill Graham Civic Auditorium in San Francisco featuring such bands as The Killers, Modest Mouse, Interpol, Franz Ferdinand, Muse and Taking Back Sunday. In May of 2005 the band performs “Oxy Moron” and “Time Well Wasted” on “Soundcheck”, a radio show broadcasted by San Francisco’s Live 105. In August of 2005 the band releases “The House is a Headstone” EP as a precursor to thier first full length L.P. In September of 2005 the single entitled “Gateway to the Delta” enters radio rotation on San Francisco’s Live 105. Among other things the band has been busy writing, recording and playing shows at San Francisco’s premier venues including Slims, Cafe Du Nord and Bottom of the Hill.

Poor Bailey are currently working on a double album to be released at 3rd November. The new record is going to be called "Pyrite & Gold" and it should have around 20 songs on it. There is a huge CD release show scheduled for 3rd Novemeber at Bottom Of The Hill at San Francisco.

Poor Bailey creates very catchy indie rock music that will grab you after the first listening. The songs are melodic and well-crafted. Listening to Poor Bailey, you may feel that you've heard this guys on a local radio station a number of times before. On the other hand, they sound original and fresh, combining different genres in their songs, from country-like (20 Drugs) to post grunge and punk-pop (Common Cold, Time Well Wasted). Some of the highlights are noisy Gateway To The Delta and acoustic Oxy Moron.

Poor Bailey brings an excellent rock music to enjoy from the first to the last song, it's a band for the big things. Recommended!
