Girls Aloud are set to release their cover of the Kaiser Chiefs hit I Predict A Riot. The song has become a staple of the Girls Aloud live show, but has never been released before. It will feature on the group's forthcoming 'best of' album The Sound Of Girls Aloud, which is due for release on October 30. Paul Weller, The Magic Numbers, The Zutons and The Fratellis have all joined the line up for the Electric Proms. They complete the line-up for the London festival which already features The Raconteurs, Kasabian and The Who, reports NME.com. Damon Albarn's new group The Good, The Bad And The Queen will also be appearing. Weller and The Magic Numbers will play the Roundhouse in Camden on October 25. Lily Allen and Muse have won gongs at this year's Digital Music Awards. Allen beat Sandi Thom to take the best pop artist prize. Muse collected two trophies - beating Hard-Fi and Kasabian to best rock artist and their fansite was named best unofficial music site. Thom Yorke won two awards including best artist campaign for his solo album The Eraser. Lemar won best urban artist. He beat Nate James, Plan B, Sway and The Streets reports BBC. The Streets did not go home empty handed, their frontman Mike Skinner won best blog, while the award for best artist promotion went to the White Stripes for Denial Twist project. The Sisters of Mercy are inching toward breaking a 16-year absence from the studio, though plans for quickly released singles are on hold. The seminal Goth outfit is at work on its first full-length since 1990's Vision Thing (Elektra), according to posts on the band's website. No details on the new record were given, though it revealed it had severed its relations with East West Records. A series of independently released singles was planned to launch with "Summer," which would feature the title track, backed with a remix and another unnamed song. Ireland's The Frames will continue their association with Anti- Records, as the Epitaph imprint announced it will release the band's next album in North America. The band's The Cost will hit stores in North America Feb. 2007. The effort, which finds The Frames once again joining forces with producer David Odlum, follows up 2005's Burn the Maps (Anti-).
