Jeremy

Jeremy consists of Lars Christian Olsen (age 19) and Øivind Hatleskog (age 21). Both born and raised in the Norwegian oil-town Stavanger, the two veloursuited fellows make arrangements together with their band that span from the utterly pompous to low-key. They mostly find their inspiration in three pop genres, namely power-pop such as Belle & Sebastian, Big Star and The Beach Boys, folk-pop artists like Simon & Garfunkel and Bob Dylan and as they call it sing-a-long pop with groups like the Beatles, The Byrds and The Monkees.

In their brief careerspan of 3 years playing together, Jeremy has already had the privilege of sharing stages with artists such as Sondre Lerche and Thomas Dybdahl, and playing the norwegian equivalent of Popkomm and SXSW- by:Larm 06. Last fall they released their EP in Norway, and in January it also reached the stores of Japan where it also received good reviews. Jeremy signed with US label Hitswitch Records, who will be releasing the EP on May 29.

They are currently recording an album with reknown producer HP Gundersen, also known for producing the likes of Sondre Lerche. A new single "Make Love Not War" from those recording sessions will be released digitally May 21st in the world except in the US and Canada where the single will be released on June 19th. The single will also be released on limited red vinyl 7", backed by a remixed from Andre Allen Anjos who has done remixes for Bloc Party, The Shins, Tokyo Police Club, CSS, etc.
